Hiring Signals

Hiring Signals Volume 1 — April 9th 2026

Of 3,170 companies, 6 hit our highest-confidence surge threshold. The shape of the market in four numbers.

Most of the hiring market is standing still.

Of the 3,170 companies we track across 10 ATS platforms, 2,307 held steady in the past two weeks. 40 grew. 47 pulled back. And six — out of more than 3,000 — hit our highest-confidence surge threshold.

That’s the whole shape of the market in four numbers.

The real hiring motion this cycle was concentrated in a vanishingly small slice of the economy, and the clearest example came from the AI sector.

AI is bifurcating

AI companies aren’t moving as a block.

Cursor climbed from 63 to 79 open roles in the past two weeks. Physical Intelligence stepped from 16 to 22. And one company posted the cleanest single-company hiring signal in our snapshot. A few other well-known AI names got quieter in the same window. We’re not naming them — the data tells us what happened, not why.

The cleanest signal: Snorkel AI

Snorkel AI’s open roles climbed from 12 to 22 over the past two weeks. An 83% jump in 14 days. The strongest, cleanest single-company signal in our April 9 snapshot.

Here’s the interesting part.

LinkedIn’s own hiring trend data for Snorkel shows employee growth of 28% year-over-year. Both are snapshots of different data.

Steady growers

Ghost jobs?

4,096 jobs in our catalog have been open for 30+ days and are still accepting applications. About 7% of what we track.

We don’t know if they’re “ghost jobs.” Some are hard-to-fill. Some are always-on reqs. Some have internal candidates already picked. Some are actually ghost jobs.

We just see what the data shows us.

New on radar

86 companies appeared on our radar this cycle, bringing 1,172 brand-new jobs that were invisible to job seekers yesterday. LinkedIn, ServiceNow, Visa, and Canva are all on that list.

Why any of this matters

The major job boards measure hiring with trailing indicators. By the time their charts show a company is growing, the best roles have already been filled.

We built Role Radar to be a leading indicator. We scan 3,170 company career pages every six hours.

Recruiters have had this kind of signal forever. Job seekers have been flying blind.

Not anymore. Hiring Signals is live on Role Radar right now. Free during invite-only beta.

Role Radar scores every job against your resume — before you apply. 3,170 companies, every 6 hours.
